Responsibilities
- Delivering a high-end, white-glove service to our clients
- Be a leader in your team, developing and implementing holistic financial plans for clients
- Prepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to clients
- Maintain and update client records and financial portfolios
- Working with your team to manage daily client communications and requests
- Leading client meetings, identifying opportunities and educating clients on strategies
- Stay current with industry regulations, tax laws, and financial planning strategies
- Conduct research on financial products, market trends, and investment opportunities
- Contribute to the firm’s marketing and business development efforts
- Other relevant or related responsibilities as required by Ocean 6
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or equivalent related work experience
- Completion of, or close to, relevant industry certifications (e.g. CFP, CFA, CSC, LLQP)
- 3+ years of experience in financial services as a Lead Advisor (corporate financial planning experience is preferred)
- Experience mentoring, managing, and elevating junior advisors or support staff — you know how to rally a team around a shared vision
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills; a systems-driven professional who can consistently focus on client files, deadlines, and high-touch client needs
- You see the big picture, looking beyond isolated financial products like investments or insurance to evaluate a client’s entire financial ecosystem
Compensation
The base salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $110,000, commensurate with your depth of experience and qualifications. The final interview will include an assignment to showcase your knowledge and experience.

About Ocean 6 Investment Solutions Inc.
Ocean 6 Investment Solutions is a robust, compliant dealer platform for entrepreneurial investment professionals. Operating as a registered Mutual Fund Dealer, we act as your principal dealer, providing the necessary regulatory infrastructure you need to service clients. This opportunity allows you autonomy in how you organize, service, and grow your practice, while operating within Ocean 6’s dealer platform, supervision framework, approved product shelf, and compliance standards.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a self-driven Independent Investment Advisor to manage an existing block of Ocean 6 clients, with capacity for future internal pipeline opportunities. For a motivated advisor, this is a rare opportunity to accelerate years of practice-building into a much shorter runway.
Responsibilities
The advisor provides: client relationship management, disciplined follow-up, compliant advice, KYC/suitability execution, business development, and high-quality service.
- Independently handling client onboarding, continuous portfolio reviews, and daily relationship management
- Maintaining strict personal adherence to provincial legislation, CIRO Rules, and Ocean 6 internal compliance policies
- Building, developing, and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and growing their portfolios
- Putting the clients’ interests and goals at the forefront of decisions for their portfolios
- Regularly tracking portfolio performance and making adjustments as market conditions or the client’s life circumstances evolve
- Complying with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, including those set forth by the federal and provincial authorities, securities commission, and CIRO
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in an Investment Advisory or Wealth Management role
- You’re driven to succeed and are a self-starter, always curious to learn and grow
- A passion for giving exceptional service to clients and going above and beyond
- Exemplary communication with interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
- CIM, Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or equivalent
- E&O insurance coverage
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Licence/Certification: CIM, CSC, CFA or CFP (required)
What Ocean 6 Provides
Dealer infrastructure, compliance supervision, approved product platform, an original assigned client block, future pipeline opportunities, and basic operational support.
Compensation & Fee Structure
Compensation will be based on an agreed revenue-sharing arrangement tied to eligible dealer-generated revenue from assigned and self-sourced client relationships, subject to Ocean 6 Investment Solutions policies, securities rules, and a final written agreement.

Compensation
Associate Level 2: Base salary range of $65,000–$75,000. The majority of your time is dedicated to supporting the advisory team and continuing to build your industry knowledge.
Associate Level 3: Base salary range of $75,000–$85,000. You support clients and give direct advice while supporting the advisory team.
Both levels include a final interview assignment to showcase your knowledge and experience.
